Прошу помощи: Дочитываю книжку канадской девчонки Кристал Ститтл Adaptive Instinct. И встретилась фраза (выделяю ее болдом в контексте): It was hard when the rock star's head was directly under his own, but that guy was probably in something just shy of a druf-induced coma.He came across as a man who was a few bulbs short of a full pack. Back before the zombies, Misha would have been ecstatic to meet the man - but now he found himself indifferent. Quin was just another survivor. Дополнительный контекст: герои просыпаются в переполненном вэне, набитом людьми и вещами. Рок-звезда Квин описывается в книжке (собственно, вся рок-банда) как наркоман со стажем :-), когда наркотики глотают при первой возможности невзирая на любые обстоятельства. Выделенная фраза для меня классический пример того, когда понятно каждое слово в отдельности, а все вместе совершенно непонятно. | |
