Whoever wishes to meet live for a chat - go ahead. I see no use in it for myself. I do not require that sort of communication. The Internet platform is more than enough to satisfy my need for practicing my English, but you, guys, go ahead and meet, spend your time ogether, visit one another, drink beer, eat ice-cream and what not. Bless you- )

2013kuban 10.07.2013 11:35

"together", I meant to say "together", of course-)Be together, chat together, smoke together, drink tea or coffee, share your intimate secrets, impress the onlookers with your strange lingo etc. Bless you- ) Have fun!

тихой сапой (действовать, делать что-либо) , do smth. stealthily (on the sly, on the quiet)

Sovereign 12.07.2013 09:06

In stealth mode!

2013kuban 12.07.2013 22:48

52- Nice try. Now let's share all possible new words then and compose phrases with them, okay? It'll be a nice exercise or practice - whatever you call it.

Шапокляк 13.07.2013 14:49

53-2013kuban >possible new words? What do you mean?

2013kuban 13.07.2013 19:39

Шапокляк 13.07.2013 20:13

Indira_Gandi 17.07.2013 17:25

Шапокляк 17.07.2013 18:16

62-Ахулита >можно

2013kuban 17.07.2013 20:06

Hello folks! AS I see you are chatting again. That is very good. Keep doing so and your English will always be in good shape, if I may say so-)

2013kuban 17.07.2013 20:56

мундир (full dress) uniform придворный мундир — court-dress coat •• честь мундира — 1) (о военных) the honour of the regiment 2) (об официальном авторитете) repute, prestige опозорить честь мундира — discredit one's position спасать честь мундира — (try to) save face картофель в мундире — potatoes cooked in their jackets / skins ; jacket potatoes

Indira_Gandi 18.07.2013 07:30

66-2013kuban Ok, one question to you where and how did you learn the english language?

2013kuban 18.07.2013 09:11

67- I think it is a weird question!

Indira_Gandi 18.07.2013 09:47

68-2013kuban >Why do you think so?

Шапокляк 18.07.2013 13:02

69-Indira_Gandi >your question is not weird at all
(IMHO)

2013kuban 18.07.2013 18:08

69-Because I think so-) Why do you even ask this question? It is absolutely unnecessary!

2013kuban 18.07.2013 19:00

70- You think so. It is just your humble opinion-) But my humble opinion is somewhat different and I am entitled to it-)

Шапокляк 18.07.2013 22:50

( ф космос) This discussion is getting rude.
It is ok to ask how the person has learned English.
Also this "forget it" IS rude. You know it - I can tell from your English you are or were abroad (USA or UK. I think US).
Anyway, you know what I mean.))))

2013kuban 18.07.2013 23:19

73- Nothing's getting rude apart from the fact that I am being impudently interrogated regarding the subject of my private (language, in this particular context) issues which I am not, at any rate, inclined to reveal for that is my private, personal matter and it shouldn't concern, in any way, anybody; since that is not a crime to speak English especially from the comfort of your apartment without, surely, touching the sensitive topics which we shall not even list now, due to the modest nature of your humble servant's character, if you see what I mean. Thus, hoping that you get the hint, let us conclude this useless debate and assume that we can move on picking another more interesting topic and delve into it entirely, enriching our linguistic skills and perfecting them to the highest peaks of perfection. Period!

Шапокляк 18.07.2013 23:31

ok, I am impressed))))))

2013kuban 18.07.2013 23:47

Thank you for your positive reaction to my humble attempt to adjust the arising misunderstanding. It was my final argument which apparently worked-)

Indira_Gandi 19.07.2013 08:07

72-2013kuban >что означает это выражение I am entitled to it?
entitle это же глагол, он можен в такой связке с глаголом to be употребляться, что это тогда за форма?

2013kuban 19.07.2013 11:00

I'm extremely surprised with the fact that some persons here use this chatroom for taking free lessons; obliging the participants to educate them, instead of doing the job on a self-teaching basis. I will make this very clear once and give a suggestion to such people to learn English first but in a different place. In here we prefer to speak English and if you are not able to please do not write here in Russian. Discssing the grammar issues is not the purpose of the talk. Use the Internet facilities to research and get the info you require. Speaking of the question asked, well, here is my reply but, please remember, from now on I will not be able to support your curiosity in this regard. please read this message twice if needed, maybe even with a dictionary, but please, do not speak Russian here and ask to teach you English. Is that clear?-)

2013kuban 19.07.2013 11:01

Here is the link explaining the issue raised:

2013kuban 19.07.2013 11:11

Have a nice day, folks. Hope my previous message was not too harsh. It was basically a request rather than an order-)
Enjoy yourselves. Have a good end of the week. Catch up with you (virtually, of course) later.
Cheers, mates.
