I know Russian quite well, because I was born and have been living in Russia since my childhood, but nor unfortunately English. So , my point and spot is learn English hard everyday and every minute when I want and have free time for it.

"have got" is less formal than "have" though, but it does not mean you should avoid it in everyday speech. I personally tend to say "have", but it is a matter of habbit. I would say it is also more [filolog]frequent[/filolog] in AmE than BrE.

I could found only one the American resident in SL now. It's too early time for it. But one person approved me that both expressions are correct in formal English in the US. But I prefer to say "have" too, especcially if the second type isn't use in other countries except the US.
